Follow-up Biosecurity Workshop for Stakeholders Nov. 25
Keystone Agricultural Producers hosted a Biosecurity Workshop for Agricultural Stakeholders on Nov. 25 at Canad Inns Polo Park in Winnipeg with almost 70 participants including government inspectors, officers, and managers.
The workshop featured presenters from commodity groups and the federal and provincial governments on issues including biosecurity and the potato and vegetable industry, the impact on the hog industry, risks to canola, how biosecurity affects the poultry industry, and a general overview of biosecurity and implications for all sectors.
The workshop was organized by KAP's Biosecurity Working Group, which looks forward to hosting a biosecurity session for producers in the future. Watch the KAP Alert for more information.
